Global challenges require us to transition from fossil fuels and raw materials to renewable alternatives. We also need to increase our level of self-sufficiency. To this end, we are working to increase the production of renewable energy and fertilisers. Since 2012, we have developed biogas systems and gathered valuable experience in collaboration with partners in Finland, and this will now also be shared with stakeholders in northern Norway.
The project aims to strengthen the economic viability and efficiency of regional biogas production. This involves developing existing biogas plants and exploring opportunities to establish new ones in Norway / Nordic countries. Additionally, the project is investigating how by-products from biogas production can be refined into nutrients for agriculture. Six biogas producers from northern Sweden and Finland are actively participating in the project.

Reports & Articles
The interest in LBG is rapidly increasing as the European Commission highlights the importance of biogas not only as a local energy source, but also as a strategic fuel for long-haul transport, maritime shipping and industry. The event gathered technology suppliers, distributors and users to share their insights on production, distribution and practical applications.
